πŸ›‘οΈβ€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹Employee Safety Bulletin - October 2025

Fall is in full swing, and with cooler days come fresh reminders to keep safety at the heart of what we do. Take a moment to review these important awareness topics this month.

❀️ National Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month

Recognized by the American Heart Association, this month is a reminder that every second counts in a cardiac emergency β€” and anyone can make a difference.

βœ… Review AED locations in all venues
βœ… If you witness a collapse:
  • Call 911.
  • Send for an AED.

  • Begin chest compression.

Even if you’re not CPR- or AED-certified, you can still help by calling for help, retrieving an AED or keeping guests clear of the area. Quick action saves lives β€” don’t wait for someone you think is more qualified.

πŸ’‘
Just performing chest compressions can triple the chances of survival.

🎧 National Protect Your Hearing Month

Supported by NIOSH and the CDC, this month highlights how easy it is to protect your hearing β€” especially with the Arena’s new sound system upgrade!

βœ… Use disposable earplugs during sound checks, rehearsals or performances.
βœ… Supervisors: ensure hearing protection is available for staff before entering bowl or stage areas.
βœ…If your ears are ringing after an event, that’s your body’s reminder to protect them next time.

Noise-induced hearing loss is one of the most common β€” and preventable β€” workplace injuries. Take this month to review hearing protection policies, encourage safe listening habits and make hearing safety part of your routine, both on and off the job.

    πŸ‘‚ Need earplugs?
    They’re available at:
    • The public safety office.
    • Guest services.
    • Your manager.

β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹βœ¨ Stay aware, stay prepared and look out for one another. Together, we keep our venues safe and sound.
