In February, the Wisconsin Center District is proud to recognize Black History Month, a time to honor the achievements and important contributions of Black individuals today and throughout history.
This month provides an opportunity for reflection and learning about the rich cultural heritage and the resilience of the Black community, as well as a reminder of the ongoing work toward equity and inclusion.
We encourage everyone to take time this month to explore the many resources, stories and opportunities for education available in our community. If you are looking for a way to participate, Milwaukee Public Libraries offer free programing throughout February as part of their Black History Month Challenge, a citywide effort to uplift Black voices.
Together, let us continue to foster an environment that values diversity and celebrates the contributions of all.
Thank you for being part of this commitment.
