Let’s Make an Impact – The 2025 WCD United Way Campaign is Under Way.
The Wisconsin Center District is thrilled to announce the kickoff of our 2025 United Way Fundraising Campaign! This year, we’re aiming higher, dreaming bigger and making a real difference in our community...together. United Way supports local programs that tackle issues like education, health and financial stability. And guess what? We get to be a part of that change.
Over the next week, you’ll see a fun volunteering event and a few friendly competitions popping up around the office (and online!). There will be prizes. There will be bragging rights. And most importantly, there will be community impact. Keep an eye on your inbox for details—and get ready to give, share, and have some fun while we do some good. Let’s show everyone what this team is made of! 🙌
What is United Way?
United Way is a global network of community-based charitable organizations that mobilize people and resources to tackle complex local challenges, focusing on areas like education, health and financial stability to create a better future for everyone in the community.

How do I donate?

Does WCD offer prizes?
WCD will have a spin to win wheel at the fall Town Hall on Sept. 25 featuring raffle ticket entries for a signed Packers football, Amazon gift cards, passes to Discovery World and more ($2/spin - cash or credit card payment via QR code).
Employees can buy tickets directly for the Packers football raffle any time next week $1/each or 6 for $5. Drawing will be Friday afternoon (9/26)!
Will WCD be volunteering in any way?
Yes! WCD will be hosting a community flash card project happening on Friday, September 26, where we will put together flashcard packs for local students on behalf of United Way. To sign up to volunteer, please contact Vice President of Human Resources Nila Tuckson at NTuckson@wcd.org.
What impact does donating have?
Donating to United Way, in any way, can have a major impact. For example, a one-time $50 donation can cover 5 toolkits for parents providing guidance on how to communicate with their teens about mental wellness or a $50 monthly donation could fund 10 weeks of case management for a family transitioning out of homelessness.

Do I get anything for donating?
You could! United Way is offering giveaways. Specifically, anyone who gives a new or increased gift of $25, $50, $75 or $100 to United Way or its Key Initiatives by 5:00 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2025, will be automatically entered (based on donation amount) to win the following prizes:
What if I’m unable to donate at this time?
That’s okay. A United Way campaign is more than just a fundraiser. It’s a way to get the word out about what United Way does in the community and highlight the needs of our community.
If you can’t donate but still want to support, we encourage you to consider volunteering with United Way and/or encourage you use your voice and speak out to enact positive change.

- Championing efforts to reduce teen births in our community by 65%.
- Reducing family homelessness in our community, which led us to becoming the first community in the nation to have met the criteria set by the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness.
- We are one of the leaders in the United Way network that is creating solutions to bridge the digital divide in our communities.
